The Gypsy Kit Mural

Last summer was pretty amazing, creatively speaking. We were invited to participate in a lot of new ventures and tried some new things that allowed us to flex old muscles in creative ways. One of those was a truck mural for Tagan and Chris Couch.
The Couches started their food truck business before it became quite as vogue as it is today in the nascent days of 2016. After getting their service up and running, they wanted a truck design that went beyond the semi-corporate branding so popular amongst the mobile food crown. So they pitched the idea of inviting artists to submit ideas to paint on the side of their truck. It was a contest, not my favorite format, but Angie was excited about the idea so I got behind it. We ended up painting 4 elements on the truck and took home a nice package of gift cards and knick-knacks that were pretty great.
The bigger prize though, was the the opportunity to try something completely new and work together with Angie on a project that was at times overwhelming and a little bit magical.
